The scope of this project was to create an attachment for the Kinova Robotics Jaco arm that would allow its user to manipulate a paint brush, as the Jaco’s thick fingers do not allow this. A base design was provided. Four holes for M4 bolts were created in this base to enable any designs to be interchangeable.

An attachment was created in Fusion360, and then printed.

This device allows for the attachment of any long, thin object, such as a utensil or a pen, to the Jaco using velcro straps, allowing the user to manipulate such objects with the Jaco.
